I Love Black People.

When I see us?

I see where our humanity meets our divinity.

I see where our wounds meet our completeness.

I see where we hurt.

I see how we heal.

I see when we rise.

I see US.

And because of that - I will do everything in my power to never harm us.

If I see a Black Person being harmful - I will speak to their completeness.

To the part of them that knows.

To the part of them that’s learning.

To the part of them that’s unsure.

To the part of them that’s crying out.

To the PARTS of them that make them whole.

Why?

Because I love us.

Because I know we’ve been taught to act from a fraction of ourselves.

There are so many wounds we’ve been forced to marinate in.

We are taught to harm ourselves. We are taught to be hard on ourselves. We are taught to compartmentalize ourselves. We are taught to bring that pain to each other.

We are taught to participate in a system that destroys us all.

But we have a choice to call our power back from the places it’s been hidden.

In plain site and all our own.

We have the choice to decide for ourselves who we will be.

A choice simplified when we ground ourselves in who we actually are.

Who we’ve always been.

When I see us?

I see the glory of it all.

Even if you don’t see me. Even if you don’t like me. Even if you don’t get me.

I see you.

And my heart carries the hope that this life meets your every need, and brings you every joy, that you could ever hope for.

And then some more. And then some more. And then some more.

My heart carries the hope that you are showered by every kind of healing, in every shade of wonderful.

And then some more. And then some more. And then some more.

My heart carries the hope that everywhere you go you are met with a love that perceives you.

Forevermore. Forevermore. Forevermore.
